GOLDEN OPPORTUNITIES FROM GOD

 

Paul said, “When I went to Troas for the gospel of Christ, although a door was opened for me in the Lord, I had no relief in my spirit because I did not find my brother Titus. So I took leave of them and went on to Macedonia.” (2 Cor. 2:12-13 NAB)

What opportunities have you missed because you were waiting on God to deliver in one direction but He came in another that floated right on by your peripheral vision? While your mind is attempting to figure out His move , God is speaking softly saying, “I’m over here, come this way” but we miss it when we rely on what we think, when we’re not sure and truthfully…when we just don’t want to do it. We even tell God who He is … “God wouldn’t send me over there…He wouldn’t ask me to do that.” And someone else heard their call from God and walked right on pass you while you waited on what you thought/when you thought/how you thought God would respond.

The TIME HE SAYS TO MOVE is the time to move …it’s not about you being comfortable! It’s not about reflection …“well He didn’t come when I wanted him too but you know He’s always on time.” His timing is always right…ours is off!  He came but we missed Him! We were looking over ‘yonder’ and He stood right there in front of us! It’s about His Timing, not ours!

Our fixation must be on Him and not ourself!

So many times we will miss opportunities because we are not paying attention and see opportunities but we won’t embrace them for fear of taking the less-road-traveled and the criticism from others. Criticism from people who may have had the same opportunities but rejected them and because of their indecision, they transfer the apprehensions onto you.

Open YOUR eyes to what God has already placed in front of you. Too many servants will miss what He has for them simply because they religiously assume that God’s next step will make perfect sense! Don’t observe the His “Golden Opportunities”, “Act on Them!”  Enlighten me with your thoughts!
